The department of electrical engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of highest caliber ever since it was established in the year 2007. With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for innovation the department has always produced quality professionals, holding important positions in Power sector as well as in Core industries in India and abroad. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty, having M. Tech. & Ph.D. degrees from renowned institutes in India.

Computer Lab

Computer Lab of Electrical and Electronics (EX) Engineering Department has HCL computers with the compatible hardware configuration and operating system – Pentium core 3.2 GHz processor and Microsoft professional – with latest update version of Electrical simulation software meeting the of RGPV university curriculum and Industry standards. All the computers are connected with fast speed internet broadband connection. EX Computer lab provides an environment for the students pursuing Electrical and Electronics discipline where they are trained to function as professionals able to solve problem pertaining to design and analysis of Electrical Power system and control mechanism by modeling the problem with the specific Simulations and Programming languages standard solution in GUI background. This lab is being utilized by undergraduate and post graduate students for the prescribed curriculum and also extensively being utilized for major and minor projects undertaken.

Class Room

There is an adequate number of classrooms in the department. Classrooms are accomplished with smart classes, LCD Projectors, OHP and other complimentary teaching aids.

Departmental Library

The Department library has a strong collection of text books with over hundreds of titles on a variety of topics. Library also possesses journals, magazines, project and seminar reports, lab manuals and question banks and CDs of e-journals and e-books.
The collection is strong in all aspects with special strengths in Programming basics, and Other Electrical and Electronic Engineering Subjects.

Conference Hall

The Conference Room provides facilities and services for academic meetings, seminars, events as well as corporate recruitment procedures. The state of the art Conference Room provides an ambiance to concentrate solely on our task.

It includes:-

Lab Facilities

Individual computers provided for each student in all labs. We have fully equipped facilities for Programming lab, DBMS lab, Advance computing lab & Networking Lab, Computer Hardware & Interfacing lab. A separate lab is provided for projects with all major software installed. Hardware lab basically designed for System maintenance and repairing purpose. Students can also learn about Hardware parts of the system with live experience.

Computer Centre

Electrical Machine Lab

is equipped with state of the art laboratory instruments and machines. Lab has the facility for demonstrating experiments on static and rotating electrical machines – Transformer 1-phase and 3-phase, Induction motor, DC motor-generator set and Synchronous motor and generator set. Controlled AC and DC supply line with necessary safeguards is used to energize the motor and generator units and control panels are used for the instrument and measurement of experimental readings.

Power System Lab

Power System Lab of EX Department includes transmission line simulation and switchgear protection lab. Electrical switchgear lab includes all the switching devices associated with mainly power system protection. It also includes all devices associated with control, metering and regulating of electrical power system. Basic apparatus available in lab are different types of Static and Electro-dynamometer type Relays, Oil and Air circuit breakers and transmission line simulator used for the demonstration of transmission power and concept of switching, controlling and protecting the electrical circuits and equipment using electrical switch gears.

basic computer programming and JAVA Lab this lab is used in a shared basis in basic computer engineering courses in Ist year courses which is common for all the engineering branch. Java lab is also used as a shared basis in IIIrd semester in all the branch of engineering.

EX Project Lab


EX Project Lab is part of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The main focus of the laboratory is on the measurement and control of electric drives. The laboratory is also equipped for the simulation and control of conventional drives. Electrical Machines Laboratory supports teaching, research and consultancy work on basic and advanced drives.
